Lost in Translation Blu-ray Coming Up

An early announcement to retailers indicates that, on December 7, Universal Studios Home Entertainment is set to release Lost in Translation, the acclaimed 2003 independent drama directed by Sofia Coppola and starring Bill Murray and Scarlett Johansson. Release details and special features are still to be announced.

De transfer van de HD DVD was (net als die van de DVD) niet zo heel bijzonder. Ik zou er dus niet al te hoge verwachtingen van hebben.

Persoonlijk vond ik het trouwens ook niet zo'n heel geweldige film.

wel een dope film, maar de dvd oogt al zeer scherp dus HD op dit moment(met HD prijzen) niet nodig.

Universal Studios Home Entertainment has announced two movies from its catalog for Blu-ray release on January 4, 2011: Backdraft: Anniversary Edition and Lost in Translation. The latter had been previously slated for December 7 by some retailers (see Blu-ray.com, August 30) and is probably rescheduled to coincide with the theatrical release of Sofia Coppola's Somewhere, winner of the Golden Lion at Venice.

Both had been released in 2006-2007 in the defunct HD DVD format, albeit in both instances with lossy audio tracks only.

Grote kans dat ik LiT toch wel ga aanschaffen, als de transfer een beetje goed is. Ik heb wel een HDDVD rip , maar dat is niet echt om over naar huis te schrijven.

Hmm, als ik de film voor de geest haal heeft het beeld al een nogal softe uitstraling? Niet echt ideaal voor een overgang naar HD?

Dat blijkt inderdaad; desondanks toch een redelijk goede transfer gezien de omstandigheden waarin de film geschoten is..
