The plot isn't known yet, but from casting calls, I do know some information about a majority of the characters in this season's day.

Audrey Raines - A White female, late 20's to early 30's. Actress needs to be smart and very attractive. She must have noticeable chemistry with Jack Bauer, she will be playing his possible love interest. Audrey is more interested than Jack in a relationship. The character is the top aide to the Secretary of Defense. Audrey is ambitious and mature for her age and is schooled in the art of politics. Audrey should remind the viewer of Teri Bauer, but much younger. WILL BE A SERIES REGULAR.

Navi Araz - A Middle Eastern male, late 30's to mid 40's. No accent. He is a middle-class businessman with strong ties to the underworld. His business is a front for his terrorist activities. Navi is charming handsome and the actor has to have the ability to speak small scenes with the Arabic and Greek language.

Dina Araz - A Middle Eastern female, late 30's. She is Navi's longtime wife. She is involved in her husband's business. She is attractive and strong willed.

Behrooz Araz - A Middle Eastern male, 15-18 years old. He is the son of Dina and Navi. He was born and raised in America and shares the common American values he has learned from the culture.

Andrew Paige - A White male, early to mid 20's. He's a computer programmer who works for a graphic designing firm. Actor needs to be young and hip and have the ability to know computer lingo.

It is also rumored that Jack is no longer working at CTU Los Angeles, but at the Department of Defense in DC. That'll be a decent change. Maybe they will be more secure.

Season four begins 18 months after the third season, with the episode "Day 4: 7:00 am - 8:00 am." CTU is now headed by Erin Driscoll (Alberta Watson, LA FEMME NIKITA), a steely government agent who made firing Jack one of her first priorities upon taking over. After the explosion of a commuter train, Jack, who is now working for Secretary of Defense James Heller (William Devane, KNOTS LANDING) and also is romantically involved with his married daughter, Audrey (Kim Raver, THIRD WATCH), suddenly finds himself heading back to CTU for a meeting with Driscoll on Heller's behalf. Also featured will be Nestor Serrano (THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW) as Middle Eastern businessman Navi Araz, Oscar-nominated actress Shohreh Aghdashloo (THE HOUSE OF SAND AND FOG) as his wife, Dina, and Jonathan Ahdout (THE HOUSE OF SAND AND FOG) as their son, Behrooz.

Champagne headaches will have only just worn off, but FOX has scheduled the premiere of the fourth season of "24" for Sunday, Jan. 9, 2005. While the network recently announced that the new season would begin on Monday, Jan. 3, the revised date will allow "24" to launch with three hours of programming over two intense nights.
The Sunday sneak will also let FOX tease the lauded drama following coverage of the NFC Wild Card game.
